Why can't I safely remove my USB Flash Drive / portable storage device? (Discontinued)

This is a known issue for users of Windows XP with Service Pack 2 and caused by the operating system. This behavior can be fixed with the Microsoft Hotfix KB900808. You can request this Hotfix directly through Microsoft Support or download it from this location:

Please be adviced that to safely remove your portable Storage device you need to also close Carry it Easy +Plus and any application that uses files stored on your USB Flash Drive / portable storage device, before you can safely remove it (including Windows Explorer). If it still does not work, please wait for a moment and try again.
