Endpoint Protector – Product Update (Version 4.4.1.1)

Improvements:

• In order to prepare for the upcoming Product Update (Version 4.5.0.1) that will bring significant changes related to logs, reports and databases processing efficiency, the current Maintenance Update will ensure a smooth transition. It will reduce the time needed to apply the 4.5.0.1 Product Update, prepare the database structure and caching mechanism etc.
• The option to Enable Advanced Printer and MTP Scanning has been added. Currently available only on Windows computers, it provides an improved method of Printer and MTP Content Aware Protection File Tracing and File Shadowing. It increases accuracy and reduces false positives for file transfers via browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome) or Skype

Improvements:

• Two additional devices have been added to TrustedDevice Level 4
• Improved device control for SCSI RAID enabled hard disks
• Optimizations to dictionary scanning have been made, reducing the computer resources used by the EPP Client
• The Threshold has been extended to also include Custom Dictionary Filters and Regular Expressions
• Improved Content Aware Protection for several Open Office files
• Added several improvements to the Outlook add-on
• EasyLock Automatic deployment has been improved

Bug fixes:

• Some USB-network adaptors and SCSI CD/DVD drives were not always correctly controlled. Fixed
• Fixed incorrect rights being applied in certain scenarios to card reader devices
• In certain instances, the Content Aware Protection module preformed only partial scans of attachments sent via Outlook. Fixed
• Lotus Notes add-on fixes and improvements
• In some cases, if installation of certain add-ons was skipped, the EPP Client issued an integrity fail event for the missing add-ons. Fixed

Mac Client Version: 1.5.0.3 (for MAC OS X: 10.6+)

Improvements:

• The Threshold has been extended to also include Custom Dictionary Filters and Regular Expressions
• Optimizations to dictionary scanning have been made, reducing the computer resources used by the EPP Client

• On rare occasions, Network Share File Tracing was not performed. Fixed

• Sometimes, Content Aware Protection File Shadowing did not work as intended for files transferred to removable devices. Fixed

Improvements:

• EasyLock can now work on custom ports
• Some messages displayed to the users have been changed, making them easier to understand and improving the experience

• Fixed communication when multiple EasyLock clients are running
